Meet Mrs. Walker
This is my third year teaching Business. My family and I live in Parkersburg where we have resided for the past five
years. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, working out when it is nice outside, biking, kayaking, gardening,
going out to eat, baseball, traveling, computers, photography, reading, music/concerts, painting, and almost anything outside.
Family: My husbands name is Travis. He is the
Operations Director at Central Iowa Juvenile Detention Center and the Head Baseball Coach at Aplington-Parkersburg High School.
Kayleigh is 10 years old going on 14… She loves soccer, softball, swimming, basketball, her I-pod, DS, and playing
with her sister and friends.
Eva will be 2 in March. Eva enjoys being chased by her big sister, eating 'nanas and wabieies.' Her lingo for
bananas and strawberries. She loves to chalk up the driveway, pick 'matas' out of the garden and is working on learning
saying her manners. Education: I double majored in Secondary Business
Ed and Business Administrations from Buena Vista University. Out of high school I thought a career in law enforcement was
my calling... so I have a minor in Criminal Justice. Prior to starting here at Dunkerton I worked as a Substance Abuse
Counselor in a State of Iowa residential juvenile facility. I have been involved in many different types of businesses from
nonprofit, private and retail.
